7.5 HP Solar Irrigation Pumping System
Standalone solar-powered water pumping station utilizing a 7.5 HP submersible pump for drip irrigation of sugarcane and pomegranate crops.
Project Requirement & Challenge
Unreliable 3-phase rural electricity supply with erratic midnight power availability forced the farmer to manually irrigate fields late at night.
Site Conditions & Structural Constraints
Borewell depth of 220 feet adjacent to farmland with open unshaded ground area for ground-mount solar arrays.
System Design & Equipment Selection
7.5 kWp solar array mounted on manual tracking ground-mounted galvanized structures connected to a dedicated IP65 solar VFD pump controller.
Execution, Grid Synchronization & Handover
Equipped with dry run sensor, reverse polarity protection, and lightning surge arrestor. Yields consistent water discharge from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
"Now water is available all through the sunny hours. We no longer have to wake up at 2 AM when the agricultural power line is turned on."
